Sta.Rosa, Laguna - The Arcillas family has formally included their names in the 2022 election period. Siblings Sta. Rosa City incumbent Mayor Arlene Arcillas and her brother, former vice mayor Arnold Arcillas have filed their certificates of candidacy (COC) for the position of mayor and vice mayor respectively for the upcoming 2022 elections.

Meanwhile, Arlene Arcillas’ daughter Monica Arcillas Nazareno has also filed her COC as ALONA partylist 2nd nominee representative. Arnold Arcillas served as vice mayor in 2016-2019 Meanwhile, Arlene Arcillas served 3 terms as mayor, from 2007 to 2016. She then served as the representative of the 1st District of Laguna in 2016-2019 before again winning the mayoralty race in 2019.
