This summer, kids will get to pay ball with their idols.

Thirty children from the Betty Go Belmonte Elementary School will participate at the Batang Rotary Basketball Clinic ’18 on March 24. The event, hosted by Rotary Club of Sta. Mesa District 3780’s President Jose Paulo Legaspi, will feature PBA players and coaches.

The kids will get to play and learn from basketball stars, including the second-leading scorer in the league this season, GlobalPort Batang Pier’s Stanley Pringle,

Jonathan Grey and Jeric Teng.

“Basketball is the Filipinos’ favorite sport. We want to help kids not only develop physically, but also learn values like teamwork, perseverance, and humility. And of course, we want them to learn only from the best,” said Legaspi, a basketball fan himself.

The basketball clinic participants will be guided by coaches Giancarlo Nazario, Kane Rhogi Baylon, and Jhon Cabulong.

The Parent-Teacher Association of Betty Go Belmonte Elementary School is the official Rotary Community Corps of the Rotary Club Sta. Mesa.
