    Medical Schools pinayagang tumanggap ng enrollees kahit walang NMAT

    MANILA – Pinayagan na ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) ang mga medical schools na tanggapin ang mga istudyante kqhit hindi pa dumaan sa National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) kasunod nang pag-urong ng pagsusulit.

    Sabi ng CHED ito'y sa puntos ng regular admission requirements ng medical schools para lang sa Academic Year 2020-201 sa kadahilanang ang Center for Educational Measurement (CEM) ay nabigong magsagawa ng NMAT noong nakaraang Marso sanhi ng coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.

    “The Commission, in its en banc meeting on June 30, 2020, responded to the call of many students who want to pursue their medical education but were not able to take the NMAT which is required for admission to medical school due to the current health crisis,” wika ni CHED chairman J. Prospero de Vera III.

    Ang NMAT ay ang standardized test na nakadesenyo para mapataas ang pagpipili ng mga aplikante na nais mag aral sa Philippine medical schools.

    Ugali na, ito'y ginagamit para masala ang mga kuwalipikadong kandidato na gustong kumuha para sa medical degree kung saan ito'y naaayong sukatan para mapatatag ang programang medikal ng mga paaralan.

    Sa kasalukuyan, may 56 higher education institutions (HEIs) na sa bansa ang inawtorisahan sa doctor of medicine program.(LP/PNA)
