Floyd Mayweather wants in on the Justin Bieber and Tom Cruise fight

Floyd Mayweather has weighed in on the Justin Bieber and Tom Cruise fight. Earlier this month, the Baby hitmaker wrote a playful tweet where he joked about taking on the 57-year-old in a boxing match.

Despite him writing the status as a laugh, the star has latched onto his post, and has since trolled the Mission: Impossible actor over the Bottle Cap Challenge.

And it turns out fighting champ Floyd has been following the drama, as he offered to help with training if the A-listers allow him to be the promoter.

The 42-year-old used to teach Justin, and on a number of occasions invited the young star down to the ring. Chatting to TMZ, the pro said: ‘If they bring me in as a promoter, then I can talk about it. But until then, I gotta stay in my lane. Gotta stay in my business.’

President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Dana White has also spoken about the 25-year-old’s tweet, where he told the website that he thought it was just a joke.

‘Let me tell you something interesting,’ he started: ‘Obviously this came out, lots of people talk about fighting in the UFC, NFL players or celebrities or whatever, it happens a lot. I saw it but didn’t pay much attention to it.’

He claimed: ‘I’m not going to say any names, but I got a phone call from a couple of real guys who say they really do want to do this fight and they believe Tom Cruise would do the fight. ‘I told them that if that’s true – and everybody involved really wants to do it – we can talk.’

Justin’s original post read: ‘I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you don’t take this fight your scared and you will never live it down.’ Proving he was serious, the Never Say Never singer tagged Dana, adding: ‘Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite? [sic]’

However, since challenging his fellow celeb, the Biebs has backtracked on his words explaining they were all in good jest. The popstar even said Tom would ‘probably whup his a**’ in a fight – and we can’t help but agree.
