VANCOUVER, CANADA - Kevin Durant, 28,  joining the Golden State Warriors make the most powerful Big 4 of the NBA. The Cavs led by Lebron James can only boast of a Big 3 of him, Irving and Love but not as deep as the Warriors’ Big 4 namely, Curry, Thompson and Green. KD is long, can shhot the treys and can defend and rebound.

Durant, formerly of the Oklahoma Thunder has been chasing the NBA Championship for the last so many seasons with Russell Westbrook, a highly explosive point guard/shooting guard Combo. But it seems that the tandem has lost KD’s hope of winning a ring with his buddy Westbrook. That’s why he left.

The OKC Thunder went to the 2012 Finals but lost to Miami in 5 games. Recently, the OKC with both KD and RW playing were ahead of the Golden State Warriors in the 2015-16 Western Conference Finals, 3-1 but still ended up losing to the resurging Warriors.

For KD that broke the camel’s back. His friend Westbrook can’t seem not to stop taking low probability shots. They can’t seem to share the ball well. KD was a free agent and he bolted to the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors again are expected to be in the 2016-17 Finals. The Big 4 has 3 point shooting, defense, rebounding and ball movement. James Worthy, 3 time NBA Champion with the Showtime Lakers said, “this current NBA league is now about top 3 point shooters and not about centers.”
