There’s nobody that can beat me in the whole world in my weight bracket or the one above. Come and test it,’ American Brooks says

ONE Championship strawweight MMA king Jarred Brooks is “itching” for a fight – and it doesn’t even matter if it’s in his division.

“The Monkey God” has had to watch from the sidelines since beating Joshua Pacio to claim the title in Manila, the Philippines, last December.

He has been ready to go since May, he told the Post, but was just a spectator that month when ONE made its on-ground US debut in Denver. With no clear contender presenting themselves, the 30-year-old American is instead looking up a weight class, with some big names in mind.

Legendary flyweight MMA champion Demetrious Johnson closed that show in Colorado with a win, before taking part in a stare-down with new No 1 contender Kairat Akhmetov – only for “The Kazakh” to test positive for a banned substance 10 days after

“I’ll slide right in there like a slippery little snake,” Brooks said. “I would love to fight Demetrious Johnson. I would love to fight that cheater Kairat too. I beat guys that cheat all the time. So anytime Kairat wants to step in the Circle, I’ll beat your cheating ass.”

Expediting matters somewhat for the former UFC star is the fact Brooks has his first baby due on November 14.

“I’m itching right now. I’m literally wanting to kill somebody for my child,” he said. “I am ready and prepared for anybody right now.

“I’m waiting to hear from the matchmakers, from ONE Championship. The last thing I heard is [autumn], so hopefully that comes into terms and this situation plays out.
