Gatorade Philippines recently welcomed Scottie Thompson of Barangay Ginebra as the latest addition to their growing roster of star athletes. Sports’ biggest names such as Thompson’s Ginebra teammate LA Tenorio, UP Fighting Maroons Guard Ricci Rivero, NU Bulldogs Alumnus Jjhay Alejandro, and Volleyball Superstar Alyssa Valdez are just some of the names representing the popular sports drink.

Gatorade has been supporting athletes worldwide and it’s no wonder they formed a partnership with the three-time PBA All-star and two-time PBA Governors’ Cup Champion. “Since the beginning of his pro basketball career, Scottie has shown remarkable skill and exemplified grit and passion,” Pepsico Philippines Marketing Manager for Hydration Irvin Sta. Maria said. “As a global brand that has fueled the world’s best athletes, Gatorade has always been at the forefront of supporting up and coming talents like Scottie who are ready to take their games to the next level.”

“We’re excited to see Scottie inspire more people, especially aspiring athletes, to always put in the hard work and understand the value of proper hydration in fueling sports greatness.”

The pride of Davao del Sur was thrilled to be part of the Gatorade family. “Sobrang truly blessed. Honored napili nila ako as Gatorade ambassador – masaya,” Scottie Thompson confessed. “Dagdag motivation sa akin for being ambassador dito. Siyempre, kailangan ko mag work hard pa para magampanan yung expectations ng gatorade fam [sic].“

An inspiration to young ballers for his humility and passion for the game, he always thanks his fans for their tremendous support to him and his ball club. “I want to thank mga fans ko – yung Ginebra fans sa walang sawang sumoporta sa akin kung saan man ako,” the Barangay Ginebra Guard said. “Patuloy nila ako suportahan kahit anong mangyari especially the team.“
