The UFC 229 card is shaping up.
UFC 229 will surely be a blockbuster event, solely from the main event title fight between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. The rest of the card is slowly taking shape, with five bouts reportedly being added to the line up.
The following bouts have been booked, with the Las Vegas Review Journal confirming the additions with UFC officials:
Sergio Pettis vs. Jussier Formiga
Michelle Waterson vs. Felice Herrig
Ovince Saint Preux vs. Dominick Reyes
Lina Lansberg vs. Yana Kunitskaya
Ryan LaFlare vs Tony Martin
The report didn’t note the placements of these bouts on the UFC 229 line up, but the highest ranked fighters on the list would be between the #2 and #5 flyweights in Pettis and Formiga, respectively. This would also be the second time the UFC has booked the match up, with the pair originally set to face off on January of last year, until an injury to Formiga scrapped the planned bout.
It was also previously reported that a heavyweight bout between Derrick Lewis and Alexander Volkov is likely to be added to UFC 229 as well.
