Jarred Brooks: Jose Torres is ‘lucky I knocked myself out’ in their flyweight bout

Jarred Brooks had an odd take in regards to his unusual loss at UFC Utica.

Goofy stuff happens in the Octagon all the time. But it’s not very often that you see a guy knock himself out. Yet that’s exactly what Jarred Brooks did in his bout last night at UFC Utica, where he attempted to slam opponent Jose Torres but got the worst of it.

In the aftermath, Torres was respectful about his unusual win. But Brooks isn’t happy, and somehow decided that going to Twitter and saying Torres only won because Brooks KO’d himself was probably not the best course of action. Here’s what he said:

@ShortyTorres125 your lucky that I knocked myself out and you didn’t do shit to me that whole fight . Just seen your after fight interview well played but if we run that shit back I beat you 9 times out of 10 and the only time you do is me kOing my self!

He also didn’t take kindly to the Twitter criticism, choosing to respond to one person by giving out his address and challenging the random person to a fight.

Brooks has now lost two fights in a row after starting his career with 13 straight wins, one in the UFC. Torres was making his UFC debut, and moved to 8-0 with the victory.
